All Campers up through our 6th Grade Campers have a swim lesson every morning. Our 27 Lifeguards plus 3 Waterfront Directors utilize the Red Cross Swim Program to teach all of our Campers to Swim. Our parents rave about the swim progress their Campers make at Meadowbrook!

What do you do in the rain?

We have pre-set rainy day schedules that utilize our extensive indoor and covered areas. These schedules feature fun activities that we don't do on regular days, like Karaoke, Dance Parties, Game Shows, and Special Arts & Crafts. Some older Campers may leave Camp for the movies or bowling, but as part of our focus on age and developmentally appropriate activities, Campers up through 4th Grade never leave Camp there are so many fun indoor activities, they don't have to!

How will my Camper get back and forth to Camp?

Meadowbrook tuition includes door-to-door transportation on state inspected and air-conditioned mini-yellow school buses. School buses are the safest way for children to travel.  All of our buses are driven by state licensed CDL Bus Drivers that are Meadowbrook Employees!  This ensures that they have been hired, trained, and background checked by us, and they are accountable to us for operating a safe and fun bus ride to Camp each and every day. There is also a Bus Counselor on board who is responsible for organizing fun games and exciting bus events each and every day.

What is included and what are extras? What about Tipping?

Meadowbrook is an all-inclusive Camp…EVEN ALL TIPS! Transportation, Lunch, Photos, day trips are all part of tuition. The only thing not included is Optional Trips for our Travel Campers…because they are optional.

Why are tips included?

At Meadowbrook, we have an extremely professional staff.  We treat them as professionals, we train them as professionals, and we compensate them as professionals. This applies to all of our Group Counselors as well as our Bus Drivers (who are all Meadowbrook Employees) and our Bus Counselors.

How many Counselors are there with each group?

Up to entering 1st Grade for our Girls and 2nd Grade for our boys, each group has at least 3 Group Counselors with them at all times, and many have 4. Older groups have 2-3 Counselors with them. Additionally, all groups are joined by 1 or 2 Activity Specialists at all of their Camp activities.

How old are the Counselors?

All Tiny Toons Groups (those entering Pre-K and Kindergarten) are run by a Group Leader who is an experienced “mommy” (an adult female who has children of her own…not in the group).  All other groups are led by Senior Counselors who have all finished at least 1 year of college.  Junior Counselors must be HS Graduates or entering their Jr. or Sr. Year.  Assistant Counselors have finished at least 1 year of High School.  There are NO CIT’s at Meadowbrook!  Everyone responsible for taking care of your Camper is a true staff member…hired by Meadowbrook…fully trained…and paid to work.  Additionally, each Division has a Division Head who is an adult with experience both working with children and as a parent.
